A Good Movie, like a good book,has the power to take you on a journey, a journey that follows a path deep into the labyrinth of human experience and emotions.  The movies listed here are journeys that I have taken and have been enriched by. Some of these Movies are great films, others are lighter fare that touched me in a specific way in my heart, mind or my funny bone. The insights gained from these journeys into the real or fictional lives of others have enriched me, taught me and touched me deeply.  So here are some real favorite Movies, in no particular order.

The older I get, the more I appreciate, and am stunned by the incredible talents revealed at all levels in the Collaborative Art of Filmmaking.  Cinematography, Foley, Music, Directing, Props, Editing, Acting, Stunts, Costuming, Set Decoration, CGI, Animation, and Technical Crews come together and create something with the power to communicate, touch, teach and enrich viewers in surprising and unique ways.  Movies are a true work of Alchemy.

 Ishtar  -  is a Movie that got universally rotten reviews, but this very funny film is a jewel that is easily understood by all freelancers, expecially artists, musicians and writers.

Eyes of An Angels  -  has stunning and unusual Cinematography and Direction, kudos to the film editor as well.  This is a much overlooked  movie but a good one, unusual story.

The Last Hurrah  -  is a very accurte depiction of a moment in time and place. The Irish-American world of Ward Politics that was so familiar in northern cities.

Girl With a Pearl Earring  -  is pure Eye Candy, a visually stunning film.

Restoration  -  another visually stunning Movie with wonderful set decoration.

The Return of Martin Guerre  -  the French medieval period  film that was remade in the USA as Summersby, and set in the civil war era.
