Daybreak


Just before the first glimmerings of dawn, the Great Crone sweeps across the sky and clothes the dying night in Her cloak. She wraps it tenderly and gently, enfolding each star, each galaxy, each universe in Her essence.

Slowly the Great Crone draws back Her cloak revealing gold, and pink, violet and the steely blue tones of first light. She is the Crone, Mistress of Re-birth. We honor Her as "Protectress of Endings" and "Birther of New Beginnings".

Dawn each day, is an affirmation of re-birth and a sacred ritual of the Crone's cycles and seasons.

May clarity grow within Me
Open my eyes to life's many Wonders
May I feel the pulse of all creation within Me

Open my spirit to Awareness
Fill my heart with Understanding
May my life be of service to Earth and the Goddess

Open my ears to the needs of those around Me
Make my hands strong & gentle in Your Service
May I remember always, the Goddess works through Me

Oh Great Goddess
Mother of Mercy and Healing

Send the energy of Hygeia
to nourish from Her Sacred Bowl

Send the energy of Brigid
to heal with waters of Her Sacred Well

Send the energy of Demeter
to restore life to withering cells

Send the energy of Quan Yin
to bless the healing with peace

Send Your healing wisdom to the body
to restore its sacred balance

Deep in my Bone
the Goddess is alive

the Life Force is strong

Oh sorrowful Demeter
Goddess who mourns

Night breath, cool and sharp

Crackling snow glistens
Small shadows scurry past
Shallow prints upon the crust

Silence split by whispers
Billowing crystals drift down
Caressing Earth in timelessness

Even in your sorrow, you offer gifts

Oh Goddess
There is great sadness
A cherished one has gone

Emptyness engulfs me
Loss languishes within
Help me bear this grief

Accompany their spirit
Comfort we who grieve
Let us rejoice in their life

Behold the Crone...
Dancer of Time
Completion of the Sacred Cycle

She Who is Wisdom
Beloved, respected and feared
Honored as Grandmother, Ancestress and Hag

In the end ~ there is beginning,
Death brings Birth, Life renews through Her

Behold the Crone, Dancer of Time
Mother of worlds, Maiden of re-birth,
Child of the next generation

Dancing through Time
She Who cuts the cords…Of life and death,
Grandmother of all

The Crone comes……..
Silently, powerfully, relentlessly
Crossing space and time,
Holding the threads of life and death,
Mistress of endings and beginnings

Speaking through elders
I am the Crone….
The Grandmothers….The Wisdom of Age….

I am Hecate, I am Kali, I am the Eternal One

I cross space and time,
Holding the threads of life and death,
Mistress of endings and beginnings

I am completion of the Cycle
Maiden….. Mother….. Crone.....
I have come as the Goddess,
And in me... all life renews
All things are possible

I release my isolation to the Stars
Breathing in the Energy that connects all things
Allowing my body to be caressed by Nature

Filling my lungs with eternal Breath
Filling my senses with the joy of Being Alive
Filling my heart with gratitude for this Moment

Finally allowing my Spirit to soar Free
I am a creation of the Universe
Eternal in my Essence

In time . . . when my life wanes
Returning my body to Star Dust
Held in the body of the Great Goddess
I will again be the Energy of Life

Great Cosmic Mother

She Who is Sacred Balance
Spiral Weaver of Truth and Wisdom
Her Sacred Texts are the Leaves and Grasses
Everywhere is Her Consecrated Ground, Her Temple

She Who, She Who is Many
The Brilliant Sparks of Her Essence
Pulsing & Alive in each Cell of our Body
The Vibrant Red Sea flowing through us All

Drug Recovery Prayer

Addiction has siezed my soul

and I am in pain, hollow inside

control of myself and my life is gone

but, I pretend I am still in control

fear and rage mingle inside me, 

pushing anyone who loves me away

isolating myself in my prison of drugs

a prison of regret, shame and grief

I live in the past and the future

now is a nightmare, and I can't wake up

 

Release me from my own addiction

open my heart to hope and life 

open my eyes to possible recovery 

make me willing . . . to let go of drugs

let go of fear, self hatred and shame

help me to let go of hopelessness

help me let go of people who drag me down

help me leave people who use drugs behind

help me recognize those who really love me

and cling to them for dear life . . .  my life

help me to know that I can have a different life

a happy life . . . with hope

 

Today I will sleep, as much as I need to

today I will eat and nurture my body 

today I will wash my body, and hair

today I will brush my teeth and get dressed

I will do one thing that is  . . ."normal"

I will trust myself to be able to do

all these things to help myself

and begin my return to sanity 

 

A life worth living is waiting for me

waiting for me to put down the drugs

waiting for me to believe I can change

waiting for me to allow myself to win

allow myself to smile, to feel peace

a life I will have to fight like hell to get to

I am willing, I am willing, I am willing to win

willing to be strong enough to walk away

ready to be strong enough to ask for help

I am ready to put down the drugs

I want to be free of drugs and delusions 

Help me to be willing to change
 

May my courage grow, my spirit lighten

my heart open, my fears grow weaker

I am ready for a life without drugs

I pray, help me to help myself today

awaken me from this nightmare hell

lead my heart to know that hope is possible

and grow that hope within me . . . now

I am ready, I am ready, I am ready . . .

to heal my body, my mind, my spirit, my life 

drugs are my past, they are not my future

for today, I will not use drugs

today I am becoming whole

today I am becoming my best self

one step at a time . . . one second at a time

one thought at a tome . . . one action at a time

I am escaping the nightmare
