Deep beneath the surface, torches burn

oxides mixed with fat adorn the carved walls

Ancient Caves come alive and shaman chant

powerful magic is practiced here, sacred magic.

The DNA of these ancients flows through our bodies

they are our ancestors, the ancient Cave painters

in Africa, in Europe, in Asia, In the Americas, in Australia

Island around the world shelter Sacred Caves from view

Known only to the Elders, they have survived

preserving art of ancient hands, art of our ancestors,

ancient ones, whose wisdom lives in our DNA

awaiting our awakening to their ancient truths.

I carry the dreams of the ancestors within me

May my life do honor to their endurance abnd struggles

Living each day in conscious awareness of their gifts to me

Keeping a place of honor for the ancestors in my heart.

The Cave painting on this page is a combination of many different ancient cave paintings,
It was created specifically for this website, to reflect human expressions within the Caves.
The Goddesses on this page all date from ancient times when the Cave were paintings were
oxides and minerals mixed with animal fat. Yellow ochre, red ochre, iron charcoal, gypsum,
manganese,and other minerals created the different colors. Caves were their SacredTemples.

Small Goddess figures were found by the hundreds in ancient painted Caves Temples.
Ancient calendars with 13 moons, bison horn, antler carvings, shell jewelry, hand prints,
and carvings, drawings and paintings of animals, humans, stars and abstract symbols.
These decorated Caves give us a glimpse into the hearts and minds of our ancestors
and the world they lived in, Caves show us how they worshipped and gave thanks.

      The Ancients' Temple is just the beginning, many other things you can see and do are here at the Spiral Goddess Grove there are temples, many altars and sacred groves in honor of the earth goddess and the healing Goddess Hygeia. You can come in and sit by the hearth, meditate on the power of Kali Ma , celebrate the many gifts of Gaea, also called Gaia. You can visit the Crone for Her wisdom words on the autumnal equinox, the vernal equinox and the solstice, both winter and summer. You will an opportunity to visit the Labyris Temple and a special Labyrs Altar, as well as an Altar d dicated to Mary, Goddess and Saint.   Spend some time honoring the moon goddesses, the earth mothers and ancient neolithic goddesses. Be you Pagan or not, you will enjoy the wisdom from ancient paganism, complete with many pagan goddesses. An Island Temple celebrates Pele, Hina and other south pacific Goddesses. Nammu mother of Inanna is here at the Spiral Goddess Grove, so is a Temple and Alter dedicated to Aphrodite. The GreenMan is also here in his Sacrd Grove and Meadow.
